Sauces around the Bay Area and Beyond

Starting year 2020, we have cooked more at home. Our pantry has grown with spices, sauces. Restaurants have created the beloved version of their bestselling dishes, crystalized in these lovely jars. Let's meet some of the sauces foodie will love.

Lee Kum Kee Black bean sauce : supermarket ranch99 available, generic sauce, saltier than the homecooking version in Asia. It is useful for some cantonese and hong kong style dishes

HarborView SF, a favorite new Dim Sum place in the Embarcadero Center, R&G Loung Alumni, created their House Special X.O Sauce.

Red boat fish sauce: Christina Ha, the self-made blind chef who won masterchef recommends this generic yet super useful all purpose fish sauce.

Sweet gyoza sauce : not every black, dark Japanese sauce is soy sauce, every Japanese sauce has subtle umami and difference, check out the generic sweet gyoza sauce, can be found in Nijiya, it is great for many usage, including panseared gyoza

Yank Sing has their house special chili sauce.
